Extreme weather events will bring with them considerable physical damage and provincial/state/county governments will be significantly affected. Since critical services such as transportation, health and safety, education and the environment fall within the ambit of provincial/state/county governments, their actions are critical to the health of the population and the effective functioning of the country. Extreme weather events resulting from climate change are increasing in frequency and magnitude, and can lead to droughts, floods, fire and disease. Without preparation, warning and damage-control mechanisms in place, governments will be inundated with potential crises arising from this devastation.

Adaptation involves the adjustment of systems in order to respond to actual or expected weather events or their physical manifestation. Through determining your carbon footprint and a business-case energy efficiency audit, GXC will assess your company’s carbon emissions and help you to determine what steps your department needs to take to reduce energy costs and increase productivity. GCX will then work with you to set targets and budgets, and implement reductions and achieve your cost-cutting goals, which include employee education campaigns to engrain climate-change awareness in your department’s culture and to ensure that employees support internal initiatives.
